Wade Hampton Thrower

Entered into eternal rest on the morning of September 23, 2010, Wade Hampton Thrower, Jr., husband of Martha Elmore Thrower of Goose Creek, SC.  The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Wade H. Thrower, Jr. are invited to attend the funeral services of the former in First Church of God, Summerville, Saturday, October 2, 2010, at eleven o'clock.  Interment, Carolina Memorial Park.  Friends may call at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road, Friday between five and seven o'clock.

Mr. Thrower was born July 29, 1935 in Charleston, SC, the son of the late Wade Hampton Thrower, Sr. and Myrtle Mae Hughes Thrower.  He was a retired electronics technician for the Charleston Naval Shipyard.  He served ten years in the U.S. Air Force and ten years in the U.S. Air Force Reserves. 

Wade was a member and former church treasurer of First Church of God in Summerville.

He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Edna B. Barton of Henderson, NV; a son, Emitt L. Thrower of Marysville, WA; two sisters, Gloria Mae Dangerfield of Mt. Pleasant and Rosemary Hull of Summerville; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
