Vivian White Rector

Vivian White Rector, 99, of Awendaw, South Carolina, widow of Warren Harding Rector died Saturday, February 11, 2017. Her Funeral Service will be held Thursday, February 16, 2017 in the Hibben United Methodist Church, 690 Coleman Boulevard at 11:00 a.m. Interment, Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the J. HENRY STUHR, INC. MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL.

Vivian was born July 20, 1917 in Awendaw, South Carolina, daughter of the late Lancelot White and the late Lou Sutler White. She was a member of Hibben United Methodist Church. Vivian loved spending time with family and close friends.

She is survived by her three children, Gwendolyn Rector of Fernandina Beach FL, Warren Rector (the late Pam Rector), of Mount Pleasant, SC and Rainey Murdock (the late Jim Murdock) of Hartsville, SC; grandsons, Lance Rector, Michael Rector, Jamie Murdock (Holly), and Jason Murdock (Jordan); granddaughter, Renee Suggs (Terry); great grandsons, Kevin Suggs, Joshua Rector, Franklin Rector, Christian Rector, Jayden Murdock, and Jaxon; great granddaughters, Annabelle Grace Suggs and Jamie Lynn Murdock; and many nieces and nephews and grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

She was preceded in death by four brothers, James L. White (Frances), Lancelot L. White (Mary Ann), Lewis C. White (Amy), and Charles F. White (Donna), and her sister, Blanche W. Rhodes (the late George).
