Virginia June Townzen Nance, 79, of Charleston, South Carolina, widow of LeRoy Nance, entered into eternal rest Thursday, April 17, 2014.
The family will receive friends Monday in Stuhr's Downtown Chapel from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Her Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, April 22, 2014, in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL at 2:00 p.m. Burial Services will be Wednesday, April 23, 2014, in Florence National Cemetery, Florence SC, at 1:00 p.m.
Virginia was born May 30, 1934 in El Reno, Oklahoma, daughter of the late Jasper Newton Townzen and the late Opal Holdridge Townzen. She was a retired bookkeeper with Nance's Dry Wall Company and Joe Lewis Fire Fighting Equipment.
She is survived by her two daughters, Connie J. McKenzie of Chandler, OK and Debra N. Flowers (Terry) of Charleston, SC; two sons, Truman R. Nance (Kellie) of VA and David W. Nance of North Charleston, SC; sister, Margaret Metsch (Ronnie) of Ajo, AZ; two brothers, Truman Townzen (Mary) and Leonard Townzen (Linda), all of CA; seven grandchildren: Reed McKenzie, Stan Flowers, Julie Gaul, Mickel Nance, Amanda Nance, Sean McKenzie and Shelly Nance; and seven great-grandchildren. Virginia is predeceased in death by grandson, Truman R. Nance, Jr. and son-in-law, David R. McKenzie.
