Virginia "Ginny" Owen Jones, 85, wife of the late Richard L. Jones of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina died Sunday, February 24, 2013. The relatives and friends of Virginia "Ginny" Jones are invited to attend her Funeral Service at the Graveside on Thursday, February 28, 2013 at Christ Episcopal Church Cemetery, 2304 Highway 17, North, Mt. Pleasant, SC at 11:00 am. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL.

Ginny Lee was born on March 22, 1927 in Evansville, Indiana, daughter of the late George Thomas Owen and Inez Crawford Owen. She was a homemaker and loved to spend time with her family and friends. Ginny loved to read, play bridge, work in her garden and working on her arts and craft projects. She was a long time officer in the Hobcaw Garden Club, and Ginny and her late husband enjoyed many years of friendship with their Hobcaw Supper Club. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. During the last eight years of her life, her grandson, Perry, was her care giver which allowed her to remain at home. Her home was always open to all of her "adopted" family.

She is survived by her daughter, Melissa J. DeLorme and her husband, Robert, of Stone Mountain, GA; son, Kent Richard Jones of Atlanta, GA; sister, Georgana Sutphin and her husband, Richard, of Nokesville, VA; brother, Thomas Owen and his wife, Jane, of Lucus, KY; grandchildren, Perry DeLorme, Corey DeLorme, Sean DeLorme, and Mackinnon DeLorme. She was also survived by several nieces and nephews, Cindy Raymond and her children, Ashleigh and Daniel and their families, Laura Roden and her children, Bethany and Aaron, Thomas Owen, Jason Owen, Sherri Davis and their families. She was preceded in death by a sister, Rebecca Payne.
