Virginia Willis Jackson

Our precious, beloved Mother, Virginia W. Jackson, finished her earthly journey and entered Heaven into the arms of Jesus, her Lord and Savior on April 2, 2025. Mom loved Jesus and told everyone she met about His goodness through her testimony and how she lived her life. Her children have been blessed beyond measure to have the privilege to call her Mom.

Mom was born on October 7, 1934 in Charleston, South Carolina to Daniel Preston Willis and Beulah Thornton Willis. Mom had 2 siblings, Kenny and Joyce. On December 25, 1954, Mom married Robert V. Jackson. Virginia and Robert had 3 children, Sharon, Robert, and Terri.

Mom grew up in Garco Village and was a graduate of North Charleston High School and Orangeburg Calhoun Technical College where she studied Watch Making. A couple of Mom's outside of the home work experiences included, being a buyer for the Navy Exchange, and being a Kindergarten Teacher at St. Andrew's First Baptist Church School. In 1989 Mom and Dad started a business and Mom became the Owner and President of Ginia Ginns Florist and Gifts. Mom dearly loved flowers and she dearly loved people. She worked until family health issues made it unable to continue the business a couple of decades later. Even though she was unable to work at the Florist, she was an ordained minister and never quit working to serve the Lord to fulfill the Great Commission. Throughout her life to the very end, she told others of the love that Jesus had for them and that she wanted to see them in Heaven. Mom loved attending church and was a member of Charleston Baptist Church.

Sharon, Robert, and Terri, along with her Sister, Joyce and Nephews, Philip and Sean greatly miss Virginia and look forward to being reunited with her once their Earthly journeys are completed.

In addition, Virginia leaves behind many other extended family members who have yet to finish their journeys. Her desire was that everyone would join her in Heaven by receiving Jesus as their Savior.
