Virginia Thames Hughes, 60, of Goose Creek, SC, died Friday, June 28, 2013. A Memorial Service will be held Monday, July 1, 2013 in Mt. Olivet Pentecostal Holiness Church at 4:00 p.m. Burial will be private. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL.
Virginia was born June 26, 1953 in Charleston, SC, one of three children of the late Clarence William Thames, Sr. and Joan Jackson Thames. She attended Mt. Olivet Pentecostal Holiness Church in Awendaw. Virginia was loved by all who knew her and will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her mother, Joan J Thames of Awendaw; her daughter, Christal H. Perry and her son, Howard Glenn "Buddy" Hughes, Jr., both of Goose Creek; her brother, Lucky Thames and his wife Lynn; and her sister, Sharon Thames Collis, all of Charleston; two grandchildren, Shelbie Hughes and C. J. Hughes; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to Mt. Olivet Pentecostal Holiness Church, 8514 Doar Road, Awendaw, SC 29429.
