Virginia Eloise Holland

May 13, 1920 — August 15, 2012

Virginia Eloise Vaughn Holland, 92, of Folly Beach, South Carolina, wife of Fred P. Holland entered into eternal rest Wednesday, August 15, 2012. A funeral service will be held at Harbor Light Baptist Church, Friday, August 17, 2012 at 2:00 pm. Interment, Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday at the Church one hour prior to the service.

Eloise was born May 13, 1920 in Chester, South Carolina, the daughter of Charles Edward Vaughn and Maude White Vaughn. She was a Real Estate Broker and the former owner of Shandon Pie Shop in Columbia, SC. She was a charter member of The Myrtle Beach Women's Club, an active member of The Horry County Republican Party, and an avid bridge player at the Senior Citizens Center.

She is survived by her husband of Folly Beach, SC, one daughter, Glenda Guy Thrasher of James Island, SC, 2 grandsons, Steve Melton and Wayne Melton, 5 great grandchildren: Richard Melton, Robin Lord, Darren Melton, Kevin Melton and Rebecca Melton. She is predeceased by three sisters: Lucile Brown, Rachel Johnson and Kathleen Coleman.

Memorials may be made to Harbor Light Baptist Church, 1300 Fort Johnson Road, James Island, SC 29412.
