Virginia Frances Canady Hall, 72, of High Point, passed away peacefully at her home on July 23, 2025.
Born on January 2, 1953, in Walterboro, South Carolina, Virginia was the cherished daughter of the late Heyward and Virginia Caddin Canady. She spent most of her life in North Charleston, SC, where she had a deep love for horses and birds. Virginia was a natural storyteller, captivating those around her with her engaging narratives. She dedicated 25 years of her life to a career in retail, holding various positions at Walmart. Above all, Virginia adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, finding immense joy in their presence.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, Heyward and Virginia Caddin Canady; her son, Benjamin Ralph Abercrombie Jr.; her husband, Harry Etheridge; and her sister, Lois Ann Sims.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Frances Ann Fakkas, and son-in-law, Andrew Fakkas, of High Point, NC. She also leaves behind three brothers; Henry Benjamin Canady of North Charleston, Heyward Allan Canady of Adams Run, John Daniel Canady of North Charleston, and sister, Betty Jean Fender, of Adams Run, SC. Virginia, better known as Gigi, will be dearly missed by her eight grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
Her Funeral Service will be held Sunday, July 27, 2025 in the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., West Ashley Chapel, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway at 12:00 pm. Interment will follow at White Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in J. Henry Stuhr Inc., West Ashley Chapel.
