Virginia Ann Floyd Grady

Virginia Ann Floyd Grady, 77, wife of the late Theodore Wayman Grady of Awendaw, SC, passed away on Tuesday, August 17, 2010. The relatives and friends of Virginia Grady are invited to attend her Funeral Service on Saturday, August 21, 2010 in J. HENRY STUHR MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL at 12:30 p.m. Burial will follow in Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends at the Mount Pleasant Chapel on Saturday morning August 21, 2010 from 11:00 am until 12:30 p.m.  Mrs. Grady was born May 24, 1933 in Ridgeland, South Carolina, daughter of the late Phares Floyd and Leigh Tanner Floyd.  She was a private bookkeeper for Styletts Beauty Shop and loved being a homemaker.  Mrs. Grady was a member of Ocean Grove United Methodist Church of Awendaw, SC, treasurer of The Romain Retreat Women's Club from 1995 until 2007, a member of the Daughters of the Nile and a member of the Marching Patrol of the Daughters of the Nile. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends and she was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She is survived by her three sons, Phares W. Grady of Ewa Beach, HI, Gary D. Grady of St. Mary's, GA, and Earl S. Grady of Awendaw, SC; three daughters, Evelyn G. Brazeau of North Charleston, SC, Terrie Wallace of Charleston, SC and Jeanette Green of Hampton, VA; eleven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to The Hospice of Charleston Foundation, 676 Wando Park Blvd., Mt. Pleasant, SC  29464.
