Virginia "Ginny" Armstrong Quarterman

Entered into eternal rest on the afternoon of May 6, 2012, Virginia "Ginny" Armstrong Quarterman, loving wife of David S. Quarterman. Residence, James Island, SC. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. David S. Quarterman are invited to attend the funeral service of the latter in Epworth United Methodist Church, Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. Interment, Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL, Tuesday between 5:00 and 7:00 p.m. and at the church one hour prior to service.

Mrs. Quarterman was born May 5, 1927, in Gastonia, NC, the daughter of William Luther Armstrong and Georgianna Hallman Armstrong. She was a Charter Member of Epworth United Methodist Church. She was a graduate of Ridgeville High School and a member of Elizabeth Temple #2 Pythian Sisters.

She is survived by her husband of James Island, SC; four daughters: Janice Q. Goldman (Leonard) of Blair, SC, Anne Q. Patrick (Aubrey) of St. George, SC, Lynn Q. Waldrop (Jim) of James Island, SC, and Virginia "Jinks" Q. Patrick (Gene) of Hollywood, SC; seven grandchildren: Courtney, Rachel, David, Daniel, Megan, Madison and Ashley; one sister: Ruby A. Smith of Ridgeville, SC and many nieces and nephews.
