Virginia Belle Attwood, 74, of Goose Creek, SC, died Monday, February 12, 2018. All funeral services will be private. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel.
Virginia was born April 20, 1943 in Milford, CT, daughter of the late Nathaniel Roland Thompson and the late Maxine C. Grove Thompson. She formerly worked in the print shop at Trident Technical College. She loved animals and kept her horse, Tango, at Marrington Plantation Stables for many years.
She is survived by her husband, Francis Robert Attwood of Goose Creek, SC; daughter, Kim B. Whittaker (Donny) and their children, Julia Kalafus, all of Summerville, and Kelsey Peterson of Charleston, SC; two sons, Keith Bartleson (Vicki) and their children, Blair and Allen, all of James Island, SC, Kevin Bartleson (Lori) and their children, Abby and Brooke, all of Summerville, SC and two stepdaughters, Michelle Benson and Marie Bielick both of Rollesville, NC. Her two remaining siblings are sisters, Bobbie Page of CT and Priscilla Schults of Lehigh Acres, FL. Virginia resently became a great-grandmother to Sophia Grace of Summerville.
