Virgil Allyn Taylor

PO1 Virgil Allyn Taylor, USN (Ret.) 68, of Goose Creek, SC, husband of Anna Dalpi Taylor, entered into eternal rest Thursday, September 11, 2014. His funeral service will be held Monday, September 15, 2014, in J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway, at 11:00 a.m. Interment with military honors will follow in Riverview Memorial Park, 3715 Azalea Drive, North Charleston. The Trisagion Service will begin at 6:00 p.m. and the family will receive friends until 8:00 p.m. Sunday, September 14, 2014, in Stuhr's West Ashley Chapel.

Virgil was born August 27, 1946 in Hermon, New York, son of Florence Boclair Taylor and the late Virgil Edward Taylor. He was a graduate of Trident Technical College. He retired after 22 years with the Navy and also retired from the U.S. Postal Service. He blessed us all with humor. Virgil had a kind heart and was a generous man who was quick to lend a helping hand . He loved nothing more than his family and fishing. He will be deeply missed and forever be in our hearts.

He is survived by his wife, Anna Taylor of Goose Creek, SC; mother, Florence B. Taylor of Roxbury, NY; daughter, Tonya Brooks (Jason) of Summerville, SC; son, Constantinos Taylor (Shannon) of Goose Creek, SC; two sisters, Lori Needham and Sherry Stafford, both of Roxbury, NY; three brothers, Ricky Taylor of Port Crane, NY, Randy Taylor of Accord, NY and Bud Taylor of Kerhonkson, NY; and four grandchildren, Savanna Taylor, Zoe Taylor, Alexandra Brooks and Virgil Brooks. Virgil was preceded in death by two brothers, Ron Taylor and Gary Taylor.
