Violet Elizabeth Hayward Coppage

Violet Elizabeth Hayward Coppage, 88, of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, wife of Donald Edward Coppage passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2013. The relatives and friends of Violet Coppage are invited to attend a Celebration of Her Life which will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, March 8, 2013 in the J. HENRY STUHR MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road. Inurnment will follow at 2:00 pm in Magnolia Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, as well as immediately following.

Mrs. Coppage was born September 26, 1924 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of the late William A. and Violet Simms Hayward. Violet was a bank teller with the Federal Credit Union and was a member of St. Andrews Church - Mt. Pleasant. As a member of the Eastern Star, Violet was a Rainbow Girl and DeMolay. She loved to garden and could make anything grow. An avid boater, even racing boats, Violet spent many hours on the water, and loved the beach. She thought the only place in the world to live was Charleston. In her spare time, she also loved needlework.

She is survived by her husband, Donald Edward Coppage of Mt. Pleasant, SC; her daughter, Lucy Daniel and her husband, Joseph, of Peachtree City, GA; her sister-in-law, Louise Hayward of Mt. Pleasant, SC; her grandsons, Kevin LeRoy of Panama City, FL and Todd LeRoy of Gulf Breeze, FL; and several nieces and nephews in Mt. Pleasant, SC.
