Violet N. Bradley, 84, of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina died Tuesday, November 20, 2018.
The family and James D. (Jim) Bradley announce Violet Bradley's Celebration of Life Service which will be held on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at Franke of Seaside, 1885 Rifle Range Road, Mt. Pleasant, S.C. 29464. The family will receive friends at 10:00 a.m. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC, MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL.
Violet grew up in Fort Mill, S.C., the oldest of 3 sisters and was proud of being high school drum majorette. She earned her nursing degree from York Hospital and worked as a nurse for MUSC, the Red Cross and the Charleston County School System. After retirement, she enjoyed sharing her wisdom, knowledge and quick wit with her grandchildren.
Violet is survived by her devoted husband of 65 years, James D. Bradley. They shared life as partners enjoying bowling, golf, tennis, Clemson football, cocktail parties and couples bridge (life master).
Violet has gone to join her sister, Betty, and leaves behind her daughter, Deborah B. Mather (Tom), son, James D. Bradley, Jr. (Tricia), grandchildren: Francis Wham, Andrew Mather, Wesley Mather, Layne Mather, Ariel Howcroft, Mandy Long, Christopher Bradley and Jimmy Bradley, her great grandchildren: Corbin Howcroft and Vivien Howcroft, her youngest sister, Joyce Haire.
We would like to thank friends and family, Franke at Seaside community, Dr. J. Kleckley, Be Well of Charleston, East Cooper ER, Lutheran Hospice for all their care and support during this journey.
