Vincent J. Calabro

Vincent J. Calabro, 94, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, husband of the late Elvira Bongiovanni Calabro, died Friday, December 4, 2015. His Funeral Service will be held Saturday, December 12, 2015, in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road, at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be held at Rhode Island Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Exeter, RI.

Vincent was born September 13, 1921 in Howes Cave, New York, son of the late Antonio Calabro and the late Rosa Marchitto Calabro. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He is survived by his children, Stephen Calabro (Barbara), Kathleen Cote (Frank), Carolyn Salzillo (David); four grandchildren, Michael, Lisa, Laura, and Katie; three great-grandchildren, Jackson, Maddison, and Harper; siblings, Anthony Calabro (Karen) and Nicki Scotti both of Cranston, RI; as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his brothers, Carmelo, Thomas, Joseph, and Philip Calabro.
