Veronica Sophie Semel, 78, of Johns Island, SC, wife of the late Sanford Henry Semel, entered into eternal rest Friday, February 18, 2022. Her graveside service will be held Sunday, February 20, 2022 in Emanu-El Cemetery (Maryville), Sycamore Avenue, at 2:00 pm. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. West Ashley Chapel.

Veronica was born August 1, 1943 in Amsterdam, Holland, a daughter of the late Herman Nathans and the late Ann Pearl Nathans. She was a Holocaust survivor, business woman, and a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and caretaker to her family and home.

She is survived by one daughter, Susan Semel of Johns Island, SC; two sons, David Max Semel, of Johns Island, SC and Adam Semel, and his wife, Lori of Charlotte, NC; a grandson, Noah Semel and granddaughter, Sarah Semel.
