Vere Elizabeth Porter

Vere Elizabeth Porter, 69, of Charleston, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Thursday, August 10, 2023. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Northwoods Chapel.

Vere was born April 9, 1954 in Annapolis, Maryland, daughter of the late Roy Jefferson Hall and Bertha Robbins Hall.  

Vere loved getting to know people, taking care of the elderly, and her dog, Sheba.  She will be missed by everyone that knew her.  

She is survived by her three sisters, Charon Jarrett (Michael) of Hanahan, Rene Thompson of Pooler, GA., Kimberly Sleasman (Jeff) of Summerset, PA.; daughter, Christy Porter (Floyd Cattles) of Hanahan; two grandchildren, Alexis Porter, and John Porter; many nieces and nephews; and several cousins residing in Leland, NC.
