Vera Hickman Padgett

Entered into eternal rest on June 1, 2010, Vera Hickman Padgett, of North Charleston, South Carolina. The relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral services at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, Thursday, June 3, 2010, at eleven o'clock. Burial will follow in Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Stuhr's West Ashley Chapel this Wednesday afternoon from five until seven o'clock. Mrs. Padgett was born on October 1, 1906, in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of the late Wade Hampton Hickman and Estelle Stokes Hickman. She was a retired Bookkeeper with Van Smith Concrete Company, member of Citadel Square Baptist Church, Pilot Club of Charleston and Order of Eastern Star. Surviving are two grandchildren, Edward G. Padgett of North Charleston and Charlene Leon of Charlotte, NC; four great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
