Velma Driggers Howell

Velma Driggers Howell, 83, of Moncks Corner, SC, passed away peacefully surrounded by her husband and other loved ones, Tuesday, May 19, 2015.
Velma was born August 4, 1931 in Midway, GA, daughter of the late C. P. and Annie Driggers. She was Baptist in faith and a retired Supervisor with the Navy Exchange.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Thomas William Howell Jr. of Moncks Corner, SC; daughter, Sarah Ann (Otis) Ward of Moncks Corner, SC; three sons: Thomas William (Sandra) Howell III, Norman Simon Howell and Raymond Anthony Howell all of Goose Creek, SC; five Grandchildren, Thomas Howell IV, Tyler Howell, Alan Stimson, Walker Stimson, Scott Stimson; great-granddaughter, Jasmin Sierra Howell.
The family will receive friends Friday, May 22, 2015, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm in Stuhr's Northwoods Chapel. Her funeral service will be held Saturday, May 23, 2015 in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road at 11:00 am. Entombment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association SC Chapter, 2090 Executive Hall Road Suite 130, Charleston, SC 29407.
