Vearlie Doak Christian, 90, of North Charleston, SC, husband of Nimfa Garin Christian entered into eternal rest Friday, October 1, 2021. His Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, October 6, 2021 in the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road at 11:00 am. Interment, Plantation Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Please wear a mask and observe social distancing.

Vearlie was born December 25, 1930 in War, West Virginia, son of the late James Doak Christian and the late Helen Sharp Christian.

Vearlie is survived by his wife Nimfa Christian; one son, Larry Christian and his wife Sandy; three daughters: Sandra Grogan, Rebecca Hairston and husband Donald, Pamela Thornhill and husband George; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Walter Christian and Roger Christian and wife Dana; one sister Patricia Nichols.
