Vagn A. Andersen

Vagn A. Andersen, 89, of Kiawah Island, South Carolina, husband of Barbara Engelhart Quinn entered into eternal rest Monday, November 11, 2013. His memorial service will be held Saturday, January 4, 2014 in St. Matthews Lutheran Church Chapel, 405 King Street, Charleston, SC at 2:00 pm. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC., West Ashley Chapel, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway.

Vagn was born April 6, 1924 in Copenhagen, Denmark, the son of Auge Andersen and Marie Olsen Andersen. He was a member of the Danish Resistance Army during WW II and a graduate of the Danish Royal Academy. He was a retired architect, served as a volunteer at the Kiawah Island Community Association and was a member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church.He is survived by his spouse, Barbara E. Quinn of Kiawah Island, SC; two step-daughters, Lauren Hager of Boulder, CO, and Suzanne Sidwell of Atlanta, GA; two step-sons, Thomas Quinn of Raleigh, NC, and Scott Quinn of Cincinnati, OH; and nine grandchildren.
