"Tuffy" Henry Jeremiah Rast,

"Tuffy" Henry Jeremiah Rast,III., of Walterboro, South Carolina, husband of Debbie Dandridge Rast entered into eternal rest Sunday, July 10, 2016, after a courageous battle with Amyloid Angiopathy. His funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 13, 2016, in Johns Island Presbyterian Church, 2550 Bohicket Road at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Johns Island Presbyterian Churchyard. The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 12, 2016 in J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m .

Tuffy was born November 22, 1946 in Charleston,SC, son of Ada Seabrook Rast and the late Henry Jeremiah Rast, II. Tuffy grew up on Johns Island. He was the Owner/Operator of Rast Restaurant, Tuffys Produce, and Grande Oaks Antiques of Walterboro. He was a farmer and loved the Bohicket Creek. Tuffy loved his horses, cattle, and enjoyed cooking on the PDQ Cooker. His best friend and the love of his life was his wife, Debbie, and faithful companion, his dog Drummer.

He is survived by his mother, Ada Rast of Johns Island, SC; wife, Debbie Rast of Walterboro, SC; son, Michael Herold (Yvonne) and their children Jackson and Mason of Daniel Island, SC; two daughters, Robin Heidt Rast, and her children, Philip, McKenzie, and Alaina of Charleston S.C; Camille Rast of Charleston, SC; daughter-in-law, Rosie Rast of Charleston, wife of the late John Henry Rast and their daughter Johnna and his daughter Gwenny; three brothers-in-law, Dan Dandridge (Gaile), Jay Dandridge (Libby); Mark Dandridge and sister-in-law, Letitia Pye (Joe); several nieces and nephews, including the special relationship with Nikki Avant and Jackson Weaver. He is predeceased by a brother John Rast.
