TSgt. Johnnie Lee Lane

TSgt. Johnnie Lee Lane, USAF Ret., 69, of Columbia, SC, entered into eternal rest Thursday, June 22, 2023. Johnnie was born December 28, 1953 in Sumter, SC, son of the late Cyrus Lane and the late Hattie Chandler Lane. He was a retired Tech Sergeant employed in Airfield Management that dedicated 20 years in the U.S. Air Force. 
 
He is survived by his two daughters, Renee Pittman (Dwayne) of Cayce, SC and Erica Gilliard of Yulee, FL and one son, Jason Lane of Columbia, SC, future daughter in law, Shuntia; five sisters, Shirley M. Logan of Ladson, SC, Mary L. Rembert of Wedgefield, SC; Catherine Jarvis of Warner Robins, GA; Ruby J. Glisson of Hopkins, SC; and Mae Frances Lane of Warner Robins, GA, ten grandchildren, a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  He was preceded in death by one brother; Cyrus “Sonny” Lane Jr., and two sisters; Geneva McCain and Margaret Sue Lane. 
 
His Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 in the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road at 11:00 am.  The family will receive friends prior to the service from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. Interment will be held on Thursday, June 29, 2023 at Fort Jackson National Cemetery 12:00 pm.
