TSgt. Clyde Nolan Spruill, USAF Ret., 68, of Moncks Corner, SC, entered into eternal rest Sunday, December 3, 2017. His funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 6, 2017 in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road at 11:00 am. Interment with military honors will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Tuesday in Stuhr Northwoods Chapel from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
Clyde was born August 8, 1949 in Edenton, NC, son of the late William E. Spruill, Sr. and the late Hazel Toppin Spruill. He was a retired US Air Force veteran with 23 years of service. He worked for Caterpillar. Clyde was an avid fisherman and crafted doll furniture. He had a deep faith and enjoyed long discussions about the Bible.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra J. Spruill of Moncks Corner, SC; daughters: Michele, Tammy and Nicole; stepdaughter, Tammy Fleming (Daniel) of Dumfries, VA; stepsons, Howard James Harvey of South Mills, NC and Walter Earl Harvey (Hallie) of Summerville, SC; six grandchildren; brothers, William "Billy" E. Spruill, Jr. (Peggy) of Hertford, NC, Fred A. Spruill (Mary) and David L. Spruill (Debra) both of Edenton, NC; sister, Ann S. Brinkley of Sunbury, NC; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, John W. Brinkley.
