TSgt. Bobby Lee Whitaker, USAF Ret.

TSgt. Bobby Lee Whitaker USAF, Ret., 73, of Goose Creek, SC, entered into eternal rest, surrounded by his daughters on Tuesday, September 26, 2017. His funeral service will be held Tuesday, October 3, 2017 in the J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road at 10:00 am. The family will receive friends Tuesday one hour prior to the service. Interment with military honors will follow at Fort Jackson National Cemetery at 2:00 pm.

Bobby was born August 9, 1944 in Delvinta, KY, the son of the late Sam Whitaker and the late V. Beatrice Newman Whitaker. He retired from the USAF as a flight engineer. He loved his 1970 Chevelle SS, animals, ALF and the Kentucky Wildcats.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Beatrice Newman Whitaker, his father, Sam Whitaker, his brother, Jerry Whitaker, his brother, Lynn Whitaker, his sister, Shirley Vincent, and his beloved dog, Jersey.

He is survived by his daughters: Pamela (Lyndon) Aban of Martinez, GA, Kimberly Harris of Summerville, SC, Sharon (Chad) Howard of Goose Creek, SC and Karen Whitaker of Goose Creek, SC; grandsons: David Aban of Orlando, FL, Brandon Pavlick of Goose Creek, SC, Ryan Aban of Martinez, GA, Michael Aban of Martinez, GA, and Caden Howard of Goose Creek, SC; great- granddaughter, Marley Belle Pavlick of Goose Creek, SC; friend and former spouse, Fay Bethel Whitaker of North Charleston, SC; brother, James (Raymonda) Whitaker of Bonnyman, KY; sisters: Zola (Blue) Vires of Chavies, KY, Sheila (Gene) Fletcher of Hazard, KY and Harriet (Troy) Smith of Hazard, KY; aunt, Avadean Newman Underwood of Pekin, IN; brothers, Jim Haines of Xenia, OH and Steven Haines of Loveland, CO; sisters, Judy (David) Davis of Fairborn, OH and Luanne (Tim) Brown of Arvada, CO; and many cousins, nephews and nieces.
