Trudy "Red" Blake

Gertrude "Trudy" Ella Wirth Blake, 74, of Huger, South Carolina, wife of James Lester Blake died Thursday, March 15, 2018. Her Funeral Service will be held Sunday, March 18, 2018 in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow in Halfway Creek Cemetery, on Halfway Creek Road, Huger, SC. The family will receive friends in the Mount Pleasant Chapel on Sunday from 1:00 pm until time of the service.

Trudy was born February 19, 1944 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of the late Leonard Alvin Wirth and the late Ella Gertrude Mitchum Wirth. She was a retired beautician that owned her own salon in Mount Pleasant. Her passions were the outdoors, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, James L. Blake of Huger, SC; two daughters, Phyllis Chavis (Murray) of Suttons, SC and Jenny Stutsman (Whit) of Huger, SC; sister, Alleene Lawson; three grandchildren, Tiffany Chavis, Harrison and Grayson Stutsman; one great granddaughter, Waylon and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Randy Wirth, Sr.and Allen Wirth.
