Troy Led Mitchum, 83, of Charleston, South Carolina, husband of Marion Joan Douglas Mitchum entered into eternal rest Wednesday, October 30, 2013. His funeral service will be held Monday, November 4, 2013 in J Henry Stuhr, Inc. West Ashley Chapel, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway at 2:00 PM. Interment, Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday at Stuhr's West Ashley Chapel from 5:00p.m. to 7:00p.m.

Troy was born May 11, 1930 in Bonneau, SC, son of Edward and Shelly Mitchum. He was a retired Civil Servant with the Charleston Air Force Base and worked as a Supervisor for the Traffic Management Branch. He was a member of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years of Charleston, SC; his children Gary T Mitchum (Julie) of St. Petersburg, FL, Gregory B Mitchum (Susan) of Charleston, SC; Rene Wall (Robbie) of Johns Island, SC, two sisters, Madelyn Stabovitz (Pete) of Charleston, SC, Ellen Yon (Jack) of Charleston, SC; eight grandchildren, Sam Wishard, Doug Mitchum, Megan Mitchum, Haley Mitchum, Shelby Studebaker, Bobby Dangerfield, Austin Wall and Kelsey Wall. Troy will be missed by his family in Charleston and his extended family in Michigan.
