Tomas B. Cabal, 71 of North Charleston died Tuesday. February 1, 2011 at the hospital. He was born in Iba Zambales, Philippines and was one of four brothers.
Mr. Cabal was retired from the US Navy serving 21 years, worked Civil Service and was currently employed by Allen & Webb. He was an active member of St. John Neumann parish on the Charleston Air Force Base and a member of the Knights of Columbus.
His love was being on the river, fishing, having a cold beer and his grandson, "the Rascal".
He leaves behind a wife, Delores of 47 years, a daughter, Belinda Burn, son-in-law, James, a son, Florito, daughter-in-law, Esmen, grandchildren, Murray and Ashleigh and a special niece, Joette Cabal-Cowart as well as other relatives.
Funeral services for Mr. Cabal will be held at the Charleston Air Force Base Chapel, Saturday, February 5, 2011 at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in Riverview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTH AREA CHAPEL, 2119 Dorchester Road, Friday, February 4, 2011 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., with a Rosary at 7:45 p.m.
