Tina Higgins Rasque

Tina Higgins Rasque, 63, of Summerville, SC, wife of George Joseph Rasque, entered into eternal rest Sunday, August 1st, 2021. Her funeral service will be private. The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 8th, 2021, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm in the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., West Ashley Chapel, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway.

Tina was born in Cuba on October 7th, 1957 to Dolly Walters and the late John Higgins and late Bob Walters.

She loved her family and loved being a Mimi more than anything. Tina opened her home and heart to so many over the years and many consider her a second mom who would always welcome them home. Family dinner was her favorite time, a time filled with laughter, sharing memories, and sibling competitions on which child was her favorite. The truth was they all held a special place in her heart.

Tina was the heart of the family. She could prepare a huge family event at the drop of a hat and her ability to plan was remarkable. Words cannot describe the way her laughter would light up the room and she was loved by all who met her.

She is survived by her husband, George Rasque of 43 years; daughter, Leslie (Tom) Johnson of Summerville, SC; and sons, Christopher (Daniel) Rasque of Summerville, SC and Rusty (Brigid) Elam of St. Charles, MO. Her pride and joys were her grandkids, Laney, Macey, Kaley, Mikey, Eloise and Mackenzie. She had 4 brothers, David (Dana), Billy (Sandi), Robert (Shelby), Bart (Kari); and 2 sisters, Terry and Sandy.

She loved them all and will be missed more than these words can ever express.

Flowers will be accepted, however, memorial donations may also be made to Lowcountry Blessing Box Project. Tina loved taking the time to fill those boxes and help out.
