Timothy Allen Buckhannon, 48, of Summerville, South Carolina, passed away on Friday, April 24, 2015. His Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 in the J. HENRY STUHR, INC. MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road. Interment will follow in Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2:00 pm until the start of the service.
Timothy was born August 28, 1966 in Charleston, South Carolina, son of Thomas Buckhannon, Jr. and Carolyn Sigers Buckhannon. He was a graduate of Wando High School, Class of 1984, where he was a member of the marching band. Timothy attended Spartanburg Methodist College and the College of Charleston, where he was a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon (SAE) Fraternity. He served as a Detective with the Berkeley County Sheriff's Department prior to becoming a Special Investigator with the National Insurance Crime Bureau (NICB). He was a member of the First United Methodist Church - Isle of Palms, and as a young man had been a member of DeMolay. Timothy enjoyed RV Camping, and his truck, but the center of his whole world was his son, Bryson.
He is survived by his parents, Thomas and Carolyn Buckhannon of the Isle of Palms, SC; his son, Bryson Buckhannon of Summerville, SC; his brother, Thomas Buckhannon, III and his wife, Carol, of Mount Pleasant, SC; and his sister, Jeanette Buckhannon Sewell and her husband, Harry, of Isle of Palms, SC.
