Thomas Robert Woloshin, 74, of Broomall, PA and recently of Summerville, SC, died on November 17, 2012 at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC.
Born to the late Charles and Stella Woloshin in Hazleton, PA, Tom moved to Delaware County, PA when he was eleven years old. He later served in the U.S. Army, worked as an electrical engineer for Litton and Clifton Precision for three decades--where he helped to develop parts for the Space Shuttle fleet--and subsequently became involved in real estate and took great pleasure in real estate appraisal work. Tom was especially proud of his Polish heritage and, along with Barbara, his wife of 36 years, he was active in both the Polish-American Heritage Club in Philadelphia, PA and the Polish-American Society in Charleston, SC.
Tom was a member of Sacred Heart Parish in Clifton Heights, PA and St. Pius X in Broomall, PA. Upon moving south in 2010, Tom and Barbara attended St. Theresa the Little Flower Catholic Church in Summerville, SC.
Life for Tom Woloshin revolved around family. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Stella, and by his older brother, Charles. He is survived by his wife, Barbara (Szulc) Woloshin; sister, Irene Pasdon, of Clifton Heights, PA; youngest daughter, Diana; eldest daughter, Joanna, husband Jeff; and grandchildren, Isabella and Peter. To his grandchildren, especially 20-month-old Peter, Tom was the center of the universe.
