Thomas Russell Wieters, 79, of Mount Pleasant, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, May 16, 2026.

Born on November 26, 1946, in Charleston, Thomas was the son of the late George Wieters and the late Margaret Richardson Wieters. He dedicated his life to the care of others through his work as a respected general and vascular surgeon, serving his patients and community with skill, compassion, and professionalism throughout his distinguished medical career.

Thomas is survived by his daughter, Katherine Margaret Wieters and his brother, George Richardson Wieters of Charleston, South Carolina. 

He was preceded in death by his father, George Wieters, and his mother, Margaret Wieters.
