Thomas Samford Walpole

Thomas Samford Walpole of Johns Island, SC, entered into eternal rest on the evening of September 9, 2010.  The relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at Johns Island Presbyterian Church, Tuesday September 14, 2010 at eleven o'clock.  Interment, Churchyard. The family will receive friends in J. HENRY STUHR'S WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL on Monday September 13, 2010 between five and seven o'clock.

Thomas was born, May 4, 1970, in Charleston, SC son of B. Legare Walpole, Jr. and Aileen Samford Walpole. Thomas graduated from Low Country Academy and was co-owner and operator of Abbapoola Turf.  He was also a member of the Agricultural Society of South Carolina. Thomas was an avid hunter and fisherman, a beloved son, brother, and uncle and will be missed. At his death he carried in his wallet a Cursillo Pilgrim's Guide.

He is survived by his parents of Johns Island, SC, a brother Bryan L. Walpole, III and his wife Anne of James Island, SC, sister, Aileen W. Halford and her husband Spencer of Johns Island, SC, two nieces, Julia Lofton Walpole, and Eliza D. Halford, and two nephews, B. Legare Walpole, IV, and Spencer J. Halford, Jr.
