Thomas Edward Tyrrell

Thomas Edward Tyrrell, Sr., 86, of Charleston, South Carolina, husband of Carolyn Miller Tyrrell entered into eternal rest Monday, June 15, 2015. His funeral service will be held at Epworth United Methodist, 1540 Camp Rd., Thursday, June 18, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Interment, Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior at the church. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Downtown Chapel.

Tommy was born June 6, 1929 in Charleston, South Carolina, son of the late John W. Tyrrell and the late Esther Drose Tyrrell. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church. Tommy was a retired Meter Technician with SCE&G and was a Mason.

In addition to his wife, Carolyn, he is survived by his daughter, Grace Tyrrell Griffin (Pat) of Beaufort, NC; son, Thomas Edward Tyrrell, Jr. of Townsend, DE; granddaughters, Keri Griffin Cunningham, Dana Griffin Merrill, Rebecca Sue Tyrrell, and Rachel Lynne Robey; and four great-grandchildren.

Tommy was predeceased by his daughter, Kimberly Ann Tyrrell.
