Thomas "Tommy" Gerard Long

Thomas Gerard Long, 69, of Goose Creek, South Carolina, died Wednesday, November 15, 2017. His funeral service will be held at the graveside on Monday, November 20, 2017 in Riverview Memorial Park, 3715 Azalea Drive at 11:00 am. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC. MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL.
Tommy was born August 13, 1948 in Charleston, South Carolina, son of the late Rudolph Manuel Long and the late Emmie Grist Long. He attended North Charleston High School and served in the United States Army. Tommy worked in maintenance at Westvaco.
He is survived by three sisters, Mary Low (Stanley) of Mount Pleasant, SC, Martha Blackwood of Ravenel, SC and Sally Ellisor of North Charleston, SC; brother, Jimmy Long (Debbie) of Goose Creek, SC; a nephew Jamie long and his girlfriend Melissa Wallace who provided special care for Tommy and several other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Thomas Gerard Long, Jr.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Charleston, 676 Wando Park Blvd., Mount Pleasant, SC 29464.
