Thomas "Tom" Venable Moorman was the fourth child of Jean and Jack Moorman, born in Columbia, SC, on June 7th, 1966.

Tom's memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 22, at 11:00 am at Trinity Episcopal Church, 1100 Sumter St, Columbia, SC. The family will receive friends following the service in Satterlee Hall.

Tom enjoyed visiting Mays Park, playing tennis, and spending time with his friends. Tom attended schools in Columbia which included; Heathwood Hall Episcopal School, Hammond School and Dreher High School, where he graduated. In 1988, he continued the Legacy of graduating from The Citadel, following in his father's and two older brothers' footsteps. He made many strong and lasting friendships. Tom had an extensive career in hospitality, which took him to manage hotels in the Charleston area for many years.

He immensely loved his two children, Grace (Nashville) and Thomas (Charleston) and was extremely proud of them, and who they have become.  In addition to his children, he leaves behind his former wife, Helen "Rennie" Addison; his siblings, Ann Price (Bill), John Moorman (Kirsten) and William Moorman (Lucas); and a host of nieces, nephews, and Godchildren.

Tom will be remembered for his loving spirit, sense of humor and desire to care for others. Memorials can be made in honor of Tom to Any Length Recovery at 4742 Broad St, Sumter SC 29154.
