Entered into eternal rest on the afternoon of December 12, 2011, Thomas Hugh Smith, widower of Elizabeth Cox Smith. Residence, James Island, SC. The relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral services Thursday, December 15, 2011 at 1:30 pm, in Fort Johnson Baptist Church. Interment, Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends may call at J. Mr. Smith was born October 9, 1924 in Kingstree, SC, the son of Joseph B. Smith and Mary Boyd Smith. He was a member of Fort Johnson Baptist Church. Mr. Smith was retired from Wilson Auto Electric.

He is survived by one son: Thomas H. Smith, Jr. (Cindy) of Mt. Pleasant, SC; one daughter: Belle Smith Edmond (John) of Liberty, SC; one sister: Maude S. Wilson of James Island, SC; three grandchildren: John O. Edmond, Jr., Kevin S. Edmond, and Charles Parker "Chipper" Smith.
