Entered into eternal rest on the evening of September 10, 2011, Thomas Joseph "T. J." Reid, husband of Betsy Stanley Reid.  Residence, Charleston, SC.  The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas J. Reid are invited to attend the funeral services of the former in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Pkwy., Wednesday, September 14, 2011, at 1:00 pm.  Burial services will be held later.  The family will receive friends at Stuhr's West Ashley Chapel Tuesday between 5:00 and 7:00 pm.

Mr. Reid was born June 11, 1952 in Washington, DC, son of the late Joseph Anthony Reid and the late Alice Smith Reid.  He was the retired owner of T. J. Tire & Automotive Center.

He is survived by his wife; a son, Philip Reid  (Danielle) of Summerville; a daughter, Jessica R. Magee (John) of Charleston; five brothers and sisters; and six grandchildren, Rebekah, Savannah, Samuel, Jackson, Reegan and Reid.

Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
