LCDR Thomas Kent Parsons, USN, Ret., 69, of Goose Creek, SC, husband of Gertrud Marie Reinhardt Parsons died Saturday, July 25, 2015. His funeral service will be held Friday, July 31, 2015 in All Saints Chapel, 2316 Redbank Road at 11:00 am. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 30, 2015 in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. His graveside service will be held at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA.
Thomas was born December 6, 1945 in Hood River, Oregon, son of the late Kermit Robert Parsons and Eva Loree Williams Parsons. His military career spanned more than 30 years including the Vietnam War. He was a member of the American Legion, the Military Officers Association of America (MOAA) and a lifetime member of the VFW. He was a member of All Saints Chapel and a member of the Historical Society of The Chapel of Ease.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Gertrud Marie Reinhardt Parsons; brother, Robert "Skip" Parsons of Tenino, WA; sister, Judy Biggerstaff of Huntington, OR; daughter, Randee Schaefer of Anchorage, AK, and grandchildren.
