Thomas "Tommy" Lawson, of Connecticut, former longtime resident of Charleston SC, husband of Stacy Lawson died Sunday, August 17, 2014, after a lifelong struggle with mental health issues.
His funeral service will be held Sunday, August 24, 2014 in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road at 3:00 pm. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm in Stuhr's Northwoods Chapel.
Tommy was born October 15, 1971 in Charleston, SC. Tommy grew up in Pepperhill and went to R. B. Stall High School. He was formerly employed at Parker Rigging and Limehouse. He loved his children, was a good person and his family was everything to him. He enjoyed fishing, going to the beach and NASCAR.
He is survived by his wife, Stacy; two daughters, Savannah Lawson and Emma Lawson; step-son, Nikolas Jordan; mother, Sandra Lawson; grandfather, Glenn Devine; and uncle, Ricky Devine. He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Betty Devine and Bernice Lawson.
