Thomas Alan Kinney, 64 of Mount Pleasant, SC, died Sunday, February 28, after an extended illness.

Tom was born July 27, 1951 in Orange, NJ to the late Florence B. Dalton Kinney and the late Thomas A. Kinney. He graduated from Monmouth University, NJ with a degree in Business and Finance; and was a Customer Service Manager with Verizon Wireless Communications.

Tom was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle and brother. He is survived by his loving wife, Lynn Worden Kinney, with whom he shared laughs and adventures, and devotion to their children. He leaves his son, Ryan Kinney and wife Courtney of Yardley, PA; his daughter Shannon Kinney, of Jersey City, NJ; and 3 precious granddaughters, Madeleine, Amelia, and Kendall Kinney, all of Yardley, PA. He is also survived by his sisters Susan Nolan and husband James, of Boonton Twp, NJ, and Patricia Carlomano and husband John, of Parsippany, NJ. He is also survived by his loving step-children, Alexander Franchak, of Hamilton, NJ; Alyssa Franchak, of Charleston, SC; and Arianna Franchak of Mount Pleasant, SC. Missing him dearly are his 2 dogs Chloe and Hootie; who kept him company during his illness.

The family will receive guests at J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road, SC on Saturday, March 5, from 1:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. The funeral service will immediately follow in the chapel at 2:30 p.m.
