Thomas Edward Jacques, III, 53, of Johns Island, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Thursday, August 13, 2026. His Memorial Service will be held September 5, 2026, in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., West Ashley Chapel, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway at 3:00 pm. The family will receive friends Saturday from 2:00 pm until the time of the service.

Edward was born March 8, 1973, in Charleston, South Carolina, son of the late Thomas E. Jacques, Jr. and Christine Rogers Jacques.

Edward loved working and the solitude of being outdoors. He had a great aptitude in dismantling and rebuilding all types of engines. He retired from working at Marine Propulsion and enjoyed spending time with friends and family and being self-employed. He recently developed an interest in woodworking. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his two sisters, Carolyn Grooms of Ridgeville, SC; Linda Jacques Hihn of Johns Island, SC; Nephew, Robert Grooms (Alisa) of Cheyenne, WY; Nieces, Heather Hutto (Stuart) of Summerville, SC; Stacey Grooms of Ridgeville, SC and Rebecca Styan (Josh) of Summerville, SC and Ranae Clark (Josh) of Bluffton, SC; an Aunt and Uncle; numerous cousins and great-nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Randall G. Benton; and niece, Randi E. Benton.

Memorials may be made to St. Johns Parish Church, P. O. Box 125, Johns Island, SC 29457, building fund or a charity of your choosing.
