Thomas Emanuel Hydrick, Jr., 73, of Johns Island, South Carolina, husband of Brenda Scherf Hydrick entered into eternal rest Monday, March 5, 2018. His Funeral Service will be held Saturday, March 10, 2018 in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Downtown Chapel, 232 Calhoun Street at 2:00 p.m. The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service in the Downtown Chapel.
Tommy was born June 13, 1944 in Augusta, Georgia, son of the late Thomas Emanuel Hydrick and Rose Mae Roberts. He graduated from the High School of Charleston, Class of '63 and served in the United States Air Force. He was the retired owner of H and H Auto Sales. Tommy was very active in the community, being a member of VFW Post 445, American Legion Post 147, Elks Lodge 242, the Charleston Rifle Club and the USC Gamecock Club.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda of Johns Island, SC; three daughters: Sarah H. Nobles (Billy) of Tampa, FL, Dana H. Timmons of Charleston, SC and Callee H. Patro (Devin) of Mount Pleasant, SC; son, Tripp E. Hydrick III of Charleston, SC; two sisters: Mary Kline (Jimmy) of Aiken, SC and Cheryl Leonard of Mount Pleasant, SC; brother, Butch Leonard (Michelle) of Mount Pleasant, SC; eight grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Nickolas Timmons.
