Thomas Wesley Felder, Sr., 85, of Johns Island, South Carolina, husband of Edna Louise Picquet Felder entered into eternal rest Wednesday, March 22, 2017. His Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, March 26, 2017 in J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway at 3:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday in Stuhr's West Ashley Chapel from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service.
Thomas was born September 9, 1931 in Charleston, SC, son of the late John Wesley Felder and Thelma Goodale Felder. He was a graduate of Murray Vocational School Class of 1950. He was a U.S. Army Korean War Veteran. Thomas was retired from Swift Meat Packing Company. He was a member of Stono Baptist Church. Thomas was known as a hard worker/builder, dedicated family man who loved all children especially babies.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Edna Picquet Felder of Johns Island, SC; three sons, Robert Lee Felder of Charleston, SC, Thomas Wesley Felder, Jr., of Fernandina Beach, FL, Charles Lamar Felder (Tamala) of Greenville, SC; two daughters, Gail F. Strickland, and Terri W. Glinski (Jim) all of Johns Island, SC; brother, John William Felder (Helen) of James Island, SC; seven grandchildren, George Frederick Schwuchow, Rhianna Felder Murray (Scott), Thomas Wesley Felder, III, Kat Pryor (Matt), Karyn Demory (Luke), Lyndsey Burbage (Kevin), Christopher Thomas Felder, and seven great-grandchildren.
