Thomas William Dunleavy, 62, of Charleston, South Carolina, husband of Kathleen Clarey Dunleavy passed away unexpectedly Friday, October 28, 2016.
All services will be private.
Tom was born October 16, 1954 in Pottsville, Pennsylvania, son of the late Clarence Joseph Dunleavy and Irene Zoldey Dunleavy. Tom was a beloved Husband and Father, a Marine, an independent business owner, an animal lover, a genuine badass and the most generous man we will ever know.
Tom is survived by his wife of 33 years Kat Dunleavy of Charleston, SC; daughter and son-in-law, Corinne and Matt Quinlan of Summerville, son and daughter-in-law, Conor and Sara M. Dunleavy of Seattle, WA; two grandchildren: Nolah Dunleavy and Caith Quinlan; two brothers, Michael Dunleavy and Vincent Dunleavy; three sisters, Roseann Stansbury, Karen Gehres, Mary Jane Zenner; and countless friends.
Instead of flowers, memorials may be made to the Charleston Animal Society, 2455 Remount Road, N. Charleston, SC 29406.
