Thomas Oliver Dawkins, 67, of Charleston, South Carolina, husband of Carol Craig Dawkins entered into eternal rest Friday, December 28, 2012. A graveside service will be held Wednesday January 2, 2013 with military honors in the Beaufort National Cemetery, 1601 Boundary Street, Beaufort, SC, at 11:00 am. Arrangements by J. Thomas was born May 31, 1945 in Miami, Florida, son of William Durham Dawkins and Alma Tisdale Dawkins. He was a USMC veteran of Vietnam and was a retired Engineering Supervisor with Davis and Floyd Engineering. Thomas attended Grace United Methodist Church. He was formerly an active member of All Saints Episcopal Church, Pawleys Island, SC and participant in their choir.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Dawkins of Charleston; daughter, Mary Francis Dawkins of Conway, SC; son, Todd Dawkins and his wife Alicia of Calabash, NC; two step-sons, Grey R. Mumpower and his wife Suzette of James Island, Matthew V. Mumpower and his wife Meredith of Summerville, four grandchildren, Darby Lee Dawkins, Zachary G. Mumpower, Emily T. Mumpower, and Matthew J.
