Thomas C. Cline, son of Anna Janette and Norice Clayton Cline, passed away on September 4, 2016 in Darrington, Washington at the age of 74.
Tom "TC" was born in Muskegon, Michigan and spent his youth in the Grand Rapids area. He attended Kelloggsville High School and Davenport College. Tom worked several jobs early in life as a paperboy, butcher's assistant, and movie theater manager. He worked most of his life (34 years) at Kalamazoo Fisher Body and General Motors as a quality control supervisor. His last few years with GM was spent as a countrywide dealership auditor. When not at work he enjoyed lake living in Portage, Michigan with his friends and family. Tom also enjoyed his music and in high school played the electric steel guitar in a small band. His favorite artists included Booker T & the M.G.'s, Bachman-Turner Overdrive, The Beach Boys and The Doobie Brothers. He retired and moved with his wife, Anne, to Charleston, South Carolina in 1996 where he enjoyed family, friends and volunteer work. Tom's volunteer efforts included work at East Cooper Medical Hospital and Meals on Wheels.
Tom is survived by his wife, Anne Farmer Cline, of Mt. Pleasant, SC; children, Sandi Morrissey (Patrick); John Farmer; Michael Cline (Jennifer); Annette Cline-Burley (Brian); and Alan Cline (Kelly); nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends and loved ones Saturday, September 17, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at J. Henry Stuhr Funeral Home, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464. The visitation will be concluded with a brief, informal ceremony.
