Thomas Clifton Orvin, 83, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, husband of Juanita Lyerly Orvin entered into eternal rest Tuesday, February 6, 2024. His Funeral Service will be held Friday, February 9, 2024, in the St. Philip's Church, 142 Church Street, at 10:00 am.  A private entombment will take place in Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens at a later date.  Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Mount Pleasant Chapel.

Clifton was born January 28, 1941, in Charleston, South Carolina, son of the late Wilson H. Orvin and the late Clara H. Orvin. As a graduate of Newberry College, he later was a Vice President of Underwriting at South Atlantic Life Insurance Company. He was a member of the Lions Club, Optimist Club, and the Hibernian Society. He will be remembered as an honorable, trustworthy, man of his word. He faithfully loved the Lord and his family. He led worship at St. Philip's Anglican church on Wednesday evening services for twenty plus years. His family says they wouldn’t be who they are today if it wasn’t for his guidance, influenceunconditional love, and contagious joy.  They made great memories together with hunting, fishing, music and especially Christmas.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years; four children, Rebecca Orvin Katonica (Andrew) of Charlotte, NC, Daniel Quigley Orvin (Nichole) of Daniel Island, SC, Jennifer Orvin Czaplinski (Bill) of Indian Land, SC and Franklin Carley Orvin (Kelly) of Chesapeake, VA; 3 sisters Clara Jean Parker of Boise, Idaho, Janice Denny (Keith) of Greenville, SC, Irene Logan of Mt.
