Theresa Bull Atkins Leigh

Theresa Bull Atkins Leigh, 89, went to the Lord on Tuesday, October 25, 2016. Her Funeral Service will be held Saturday, October 29, 2016, in Ashley River Baptist Church, 1101 Savannah Hwy., at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery, 1163 Beidler Forest Road, Harleyville, SC. The family will receive friends in Ashley River Baptist Church from 10:00 a.m until the time of service. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL.

Theresa was born January 29, 1927 in Orangeburg, South Carolina. She was the daughter of the late Benjamin C. Bull and Matilda Mizell Bull. She retired from Southern Division, Naval Facilities Engineering Command after 31 years of service. Theresa was a very active member of Ashley River Baptist Church. She will always be remembered as a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and caring friend to many people on her life.

She is survived by her three daughters: Ginny Gue (Tom), Donna Tuten (Raymond), and Deborah Baker, all of Charleston, SC; five grandchildren: Jamie Shorter, Jonathan Rawlings (Susan), David Rawlings, Dale Tallent, and Mary Tuten; and three great-grandchildren: Katherine Rawlings, Alyssa Hutson, and Chase Shorter. She dearly loved and cared for each of them. She is also survived by her three sisters: Betty Dantzler, Eleanor Sherrill (Bob), and Delores Jenkins (George), all of Sanford, NC; sister in law, Coy Bull, and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother, B. J. Bull, as well as other loving family members.
