Theresa Kay Smith, 53, of North Charleston, South Carolina, widow of Ernest Eugene Smith, died Friday, July 1, 2016. Her funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 5, 2016, at Cathedral of Praise, 3790 Ashley Phosphate Road, North Charleston, SC at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. Theresa was born June 16, 1963 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of the late James Steven Stone and Diana Stone. She was a preschool teacher at Cathedral of Praise.

Survivors include her mother, Diana Stone; a son, Nicholas Smith; four daughters: Tiffany Smith, Arielle Smith, and Bridget Devore, all of North Charleston, SC, and Stephanie Grooms of Colonial Beach, VA; six grandchildren; a brother, Steven Michael Stone, of Goose Creek, SC; and a sister, Susan Annette Howell, of Virginia Beach, VA.
